Agnieszka Jankowska-Marzec
Graduate of art history at the Jagiellonian University. In 2007, she obtained her doctoral degree at the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology of the Jagiellonian University. She works at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. Her research interests focus primarily on contemporary art, especially on the work of male and female artists associated with the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. She has published in many magazines, exhibition catalogues and book monographs. Together with Anna Stankiewicz, she is the author of the online project Pracownie do wglądu. Member of the editorial board Restart.
Independent curator and organiser of exhibitions, she has realised her projects in, among others, the Polish Institute in Budapest, MeetFactory in Prague, Art Agenda Nova, Widna Gallery, Otwarta Pracownia, the National Museum and the International Cultural Centre in Cracow, the Royal Castle in Wawel, and BWA in Tarnów. She has chaired the competition jury six times, selecting the best exhibition of Krakersa (Cracow Art Week). Member of the SHS and the Polish section of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA), member of the AICA Board from 2015 to 2017.
