There is an inner paradox in Michal Misiak's art. Fluctuations is the name of his latest series of paintings. Looking into the dictionary we learn, according to an intuitive hunch, that: fluctuation is - unsteadiness, variability, fluidity, wobbliness; cyclic unbalance; waving, etc.

However, looking at the paintings of this Krakow painter, I have the complete opposite impression - of certainty, efficiency, proficiency. Yes, the painterly matter is extremely subtle and delicate, but it is masterfully precise and perfect. The lines overlap in a fluctuating pattern, and this is probably the expression of this fluctuation, but I do not even for a moment feel this impression of inconstancy. On the contrary, the variation character of his paintings reveals the great inventiveness of the painter, who creates successive serial sequences of continuous or interrupted lines [...]

Michał Misiak is a great master of painting technique. I will not hesitate to admit - a perfectionist. And let it stay that way: perfection in the not-perfect world we live in. In his paintings, even an accident is perfect.
